I do not know if any of you had the chance to hear Michael Fairman on Brandon's Buzz. He talks about Robin --the interview he did and that it was cut down --I would love to see the whole interview! He says something about her not liking the story, a little about the election--he says that Viki has stuff coming up with Charlie and that D&D may have "legs"? but does not say who is elected (curses --why won't anyone let this spoiler whore know who wins). The stuff about RS is at the beginning-it is a long interview 90 minutes.
If anyone else hears it --tell me what you think --I am nervous how BAD it will end for Dorian.

Brandon's Buzz Michael Fairman Original Air Date: 10/29/2009 10:00 PM Let's see how far we've come: believe it or not, a gay wedding boom is about to explode in the town of Llanview, PA on ABC's "One Life to Live," and to mark the occasion --- and to discuss the latest head-spinning casting moves from across the daytime dial, as well as to offer us an exclusive sneak preview of "Venice," Crystal Chappell's hotly-anticipated new web series --- legendary online journalist MICHAEL FAIRMAN is paying a return visit to Brandon's Buzz!
Michael Fairman says Amelia and Nick are militant and he finds that interesting because there are people so into the cause. MF praises Tuc Watkins. He says that David is being a buffoon but seems to care about Dorian. Michael talks about his interview with Robin and that it was cut down for space. Robin has an issue with deceiving people because Dorian is not gay. Brandon and MF laugh at the supposedly large gay population in Llanview. Both of them really like OLTL. They say there is lots of tongue and cheek with RC and FV and they've done the storytelling in a cool way. Brandon says everything works as tongue in cheek. Brandon says the show goes from tongue in cheek to high trauma and its more of a modern soap opera . MF says it's the characters and actors that allow for that flexibility. (HBS is mentioned here. RS deserved a mention; this is about her storyline.) Brandon: Why is Kish working so triumphantly? MF: It's working as well as it is because you have to see the struggle. You had to see the journey. They spend quite a bit of time talking about KISH. MF is concerned about the fallout, that it has legs. Brandon says that he's heard rumors that make him hopeful about there being follow up into the fall, winter and even the spring. Brandon says that he still doesn't know who is going to win the mayoral race. MF says that he thinks he knows the winner. MF says that Viki has some stuff with Charlie in November and D/D will have some legs after the fall out. Brandon asks if Tuc is going to stick around and MF says "Yes... well, possibly. I can't say! I can't say!"

I'm not sure how I feel about it all. I am not going to be deceived about Tuc because he works on another coast and is contracted to DH. I do not believe Dorian has a REAL ROMANCE, just more teasing at a romance and that aspect is being preserved by making all think Tuc is sticking around. I believe Dorian wins. In my opinion, that's the only way this story will have any resonance when it comes to all of this being done for gay marriages. It is Dorian that has pledged to fight to change laws.

I guess when I listened I wondered what they meant by D&D had legs. He is out November 10 because he likes the social scene according to SON. I take that to mean he likes the girls--rich British debutantes--so what the hell is "have legs" He has left again and for the foreseeable future. David is not even a contract character so wth? If he likes the social scene it means he has moved on --without Dorian.
D&D are done --that is really what I got out of Fridays episode --why the flashbacks unless that is it -the finale-over and out? So what the hell is MF talking about? the freaking mf. lol.
The reference to HBS was annoying since they were not talking about Bora who frankly do not even touch the spark and sexuality that Ray and Dorian have. It was out of place.
I think Dorian wins as well --also because of the SON script for governor and when does RC pass on an opportunity to humiliate Dorian --how will she be outed?

Sorry,,,, just passing through
Cher- I love Tuc, but I am tired of all this Dorian and David teasing.
I dont know why OLTL does this to us (the fans) We all know that David probally could not have survived this long without the Dorian history.
I guess I wonder why OLTL brings back David in Dorian stories just to tease us? WHY?

Ron to me is always playing with a double edge sword.
He knows the actors all love him, and he loves writing for Dorian, but he wont finish anything good with Dorian. But also Erika Slezak said that Brian Frons has had power to kill stories all this time.
With Ron I don't know what to think. He knows he got his mark on OLTL and with Robins 07-08 contract that put Dorian in the lead for almost a year....
That is neither here or there.
I will say this, I have been tuning in to find out Dorian's true views on gay rights because that has never crossed paths with Dorian's life.

While I agree that Frons is a huge problem --RC's writing this show and if he loves Dorian, he has an odd way of showing it. Good story is what a writer who loves his muse would get --Dorian gets humiliation and loses her best on-screen partner since SM because of RC.
For example, Doug Marland loved the character of Lily Walsh --one knew this because of the constant story and that story always had her the winner, admirable and loved --never humiliated, always loved --now Dorian is a different character, but she should get similar treatment if he truly liked this character.
It may well be true that Frons will only allow David for Dorian, but RC is just as responsible.

It boils down to the writing and maybe even the acting. I don't believe David loves Dorian through either the acting by Tuc Watkins or the story written by RC. It is disheartening when I consider OLTL is on it's final legs and Robin Strasser still can't get a romance written for her that has heart. There is no passion except through the acting of Robin Strasser.

Too true. You know what --I am not going to worry when it comes to David --he ain't staying and I think "some legs" means nothing but a couple episodes of angst. Maybe she finds him with another woman in London and that frees her to emotionally say sayanara fool. They are done. I, also, will hold out hope, with all the Ray references, he will come back for Dorian.

Why was Kim after Bo, and now she's going to go after Clint, but dear old David is not even in the running? I know he sort-of "gave up" his fortune for his "pa/dad" but it seems like Kim could do a lot with a fellow ... performer. They could go on grand cons and have tons of fun making money in devious ways, or at the very least they could both go back to L.A. and try to have real careers. David + Kim = obvious!

I am sorry I don't know how to link, but ES has an interview with Michael Fairman at advocate.com --she talks about some things --and about Dorian.
She says Dorian wants to be Viki, that when Dorian finds out that she lost by one vote she wants to hunt that person down, things change (Me-probably Icky stepping down and Jared dying), Markko thinks he is the reason Dorian lost, Langston is not speaking to him (Me-yes!), Dorian gets the office and turns right around and says she is not gay, tries to run off with David (Me-he will reject her, bs on her being fucking humiliated again!!!!!!!!), If they get together depends on TW DH schedule (Me-use him, use him!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and some other stuff.
