I loved the support that both Starr and especially Langston showed Dorian today. Starr actually said that she was glad she couldn't vote because she didn't know how she would chose between her aunts. It use to be a given that she would favor Aunt Vicki. Also, loved hearing Langston call Dorian her mother over and over again to Markko. It should be a no brainer as to who should get his vote!

I was completely entertained by both yesterday's and today's show. Aren't our shows supposed to entertain us? Mission accomplished. Every scene and story grabbed my attention, and that isn't often. Could be because Dorian's "big day" had me excited, for better or worse, or could be that the HW actually did good in the past two episodes. Could be because the Phils won last night and i am in a good mood, who the hell knows.

Dorian didn't do a lot of talking yesterday. RS's face expressions said it all. I still don't buy that she truly loves David or that really he loves her, but that is what RC wants us to believe for whatever reason. In his column, Jeremy should have mentioned RS's ability to still bring it, sell it, and give her all to her craft. When she is in the role of Dorian she is unstoppable, despite the crap material they give her. I totally felt her apprehension and regret over this huge mess she has created. Well, not mess, because it is for a good cause. But damn I couldn't help but interpret Dorian's pained face during the ceremony as "What the hell am I doing?" Or maybe they were RS's true thoughts! Ha. I don't get how this is retroactive for gay rights. I don't get all the criticism over this storyline anymore. I do get that a HUGE opportunity has been missed to continue the Dorian/Viki saga, and I absolutely love Jeremy's ideas on how the debates could have went! That would have been amazing.

Today's show was good too as Dorian was at the polls! I do love that Llanview's election day is also our election day in real life! I love that CNN and my local news here in Philly are discussing gay mayors in other cities, gay rights, and that OLTL is touching on a hot issue in the country right now. (of course healthcare and the economy are more pressing, I know) ....I loved Langston's support for her mother. Enjoying her fierceness in defending her lately. I hate Marty. Because of Dorian, she has her job back as resident psychologist at Llanview hospital. Dummy. I guess I didn't expect her to vote for Dorian, but still, c'mon. I agree with one poster on SOC who said at least Dorian has followed through on her promises and is going ALL OUT to give this mayoral race everything she has. I would not expect anything less from her. She has had family drama lately too, as Viki has. Yet she hasn't pussied out like Viki has. Viki seems to just not care about much lately and ES plays Viki so half-ass and blah anymore. Truth. Things could have been shaken up by some hot debates a raw walk down memory lane for these two ladies. Dorian deserves to win because she actually cares about winning. Though we know she will be outed and humiliated at some point, I will enjoy her few days or so in office and hope she is happy w/ winning one over Viki. She deserves it, short-lived as it may be.

Dorian deserves so much more than this storyline, I know. But I am not totally dissapointed with the message of it all and I just like when OLTL takes risks. I do hope we move on soon though, and Dorian gets to fall in love again and have more support from her family. I am interested in the potential spoiler that Dorian gets a death threat. Read: MITCH. I hope this is the case so we can see RB and RS in more than a handful of scenes together. Would be awesome.

Robin Strasser is SPECTACULAR and looked BEAUTIFUL the last few days. Wedding (unlike Rileyanne I really liked the hat, very outlandish, haute coutour, Sarah Jessica Parker) and today I LOVED Dorian's cream winter coat, pin, and hairstyle. Very classy!

I think Amelia is going to try to get/steal money from Dorian. I hope the writers paint Dorian as SMART this time instead of falling for this crap. The real Dorian would be very protective of her money and assetts (and how about locking the door of La Boulaie now and then), especially during a time when she could be legally married to a complete stranger, should she become mayor and legalize these unions.

Still entertained, even though OLTL doesn't quite look the way I thought it would lately. I hope we get back to classic drama soon, but these twists keep me interested. I still expect more for Dorian and want more from this HW....

Robin Strasser conveys more with one look than anyone --she is freaking awesome. It is like the song With One Look from Sunset Boulevard.

I'll give my thoughts on the show later --just a question for Rocquie --why do you think Amelia is after her money? I DO NOT see that at all.

^^^^ just me imagining how it COULD go if Amelia and Dorian become actually, legally married and then somehow become bitter enemies. Plus, someone on the SOC board had said they think Kelly is going to come back to help the Cramers get their fortune back. Probably all speculation, but I could see it happening if Dorian isn't careful with how deeply she allows Amelia to immerse herself in her inner circle. There was a time when I wouldn't worry about Dorian and her money, but when the HW seems to misunderstand her strength or nature you never know.

I am liking the show lately as odd as that is--well, to not overstate, the last few episodes. I think it is because David is in London and I don't have to watch him around Dorian which really irritated the hell out of me. Also, I like seeing Dorian campaigning and being a politician. She is fearless and fierce and I can go for that every time. The best part about the show today other than Dorian was Langston standing up for her momma. Folks that never happens. I wonder if Cassie would do the same. If Viki wins, it's because she's Viki. I have not seen her pour her heart into this campaign at all. I want to see more of this side of Dorian. The one who is cool and manipulative. As always, Robin shines. Oh, I meant to add that I want Dorian and Markko's mom to be friends. I like the actress.

Cheryl, you have hit the nail on the head with what my issues have been --------DAVID. When he is on and we have him going on about how dissed he is by Dorian and then we have ALL the other characters and posters saying how stupid Dorian is and how SHE forced him to leave--it makes me insane.

David has ruined the show for me. I get people luurve him and the actor is well-like by RS and she loves to work with him and everyone on all the boards think he is the knee's bees --but, damn if he hasn't taken enjoyment of the show from me.

Why is this? Because when it comes to Dorian he is just not there, he just does not care or love and he is never around long enough. Romance is about acts that make you melt. Passion has heat and want and need. Love is fighting for the person you love and so much more. I want the damn Hollywood, jane Austen, romantic love affair. With David, I feel thay make Dorian the villian and it is not right.

She is left to yearn, to be humiliated and rejected and shunted aside --for Viki, or hemmaroid cream, Addie, Spencer, Bo, fame --hell soon it will be some London girl. His complete eradication from her life will make me happy --I want HER to forget him --I don't care about him. If RC wants this to be about a love story --David must fight for her and love her and the actor need be on contract --this will not happen so give us Dorian Montez!!! Thank you rocquie!

David's absence frees me of seeing this constant disdain for Dorian who deserves the grand romance --hell of alot more than these newbies.

As to today's show--I was thrilled to see someone, especially a daughter of Dorian, defend her and demand others support her. Cassie sure as hell NEVER showed any type of love or support for Dorian. all I need to do is remember Viki calling Dorian a whore in front of Cassie and what does that bitch do --nothing--Langston would have hauled ass and punched Viki for such a comment. (in my mind anyway, lol) Please don't ruin Dorian and Langston!

If Dorian doesn't win --I will feel robbed --she worked for it --she earned it!

Ok there is a spoiler at SOC where Viki wins, but somehow Dorian ends up mayor --WTF? Please tell me it is not true --I knew RC wouldn' t truly let her win --this had better be false.

I don't know. I checked out the site. The blogger has been saying Viki wins the race since Sept. 27th. Also says Viki has the "real platform" so you be the judge.

I so hope it is wrong --damn it we have had to put up with way too much crap for it to end in such a manner. I so loved the show today and for this to be true takes the wind out of the show's sails.

Don't let it bother you too much. It might not even be true. No one else seemed to know the winner weeks ago.

I won't. But as to the performance of a certain someone --that scene where Clint is all --I know she is not a lesbian --I think Viki should have had more of a reaction --like how dare you have slept with her ---can you imagine how Dorian would react if one of her former paramours mentions he KNOWS Viki is not a lesbian.

Anyway --Dorian needs to win to make all that bs worth it.

A spoiler about Viki winning but Dorian becoming mayor??

When I saw that they were using that old old old polling machine with the lever, I thought, "Oh, that's interesting."

And then toward the end of the show I was thinking about how everyone was saying the election would be tied with Markko casting the deciding vote, and on the show it wasn't that big of a deal. Markko voted and came out and told Langston that only God would know who he voted for.

And the more I thought about it, the more I just pressed the heel of my hand to my forehead like, "Oh, boy!" Aren't those old-school polling machines the ones they used in Florida that had the pregnant chads?

And now you're telling me that someone is spoiling that Viki wins but Dorian becomes mayor??

Tell me this isn't Florida in Llanview!

I think the idea is Viki will step down and Dorian would step in her place --I hope that is false.
