Irrepressible Diva!

So it's a creative merging of daytime and nightime television dramas but the tale is still a soap opera! The cast of characters shows familiar faces. Here's the story: Girl loses guy and schemes to get even by going after her rival's boyfriend! It doesn't really work out for these women. Whatever! Live your life until love is found or love's gonna get you down.

The song in the video that plays on the page is "Lollipop" by Mika

There are only a few weeks before Robin's contract expires. Have you written a letter or sent a post card to TPTB? How 'bout a lollipop?

Dear Mr. Frons,

Thank you for bringing Robin Strasser back to OLTL in 2003. It was a smart move and it brought me back to the soap. It would be an even smarter move to keep her for 2008 and beyond. Want to know why? She is a writer's dream, a viewer's wish and an executive producer's most versatile talent.

Ms. Strasser is a veteran of the Daytime Television profession, who ushers in new performers (Brittany Underwood) and helps to define other characters (all the Cramers, Viki, etc). She has managed to successfully play a villainness for nearly 30 years at ABC as you very well know since fans begged you to bring her back when you first became President of ABC Daytime. Ms. Strasser's character and that of Victoria Davidson are the heart and soul of OLTL and an inseparable part of the show's identity.

While I am sure you are aware of many of the things that I have written, I wanted to take the time to articulate these points nonetheless as Ms. Strasser approaches a renewal of her contract. Talent shouldn't be taken for granted and great characters like Dorian Lord should remain for however long there is a OLTL.

Sincerely,

They call me the disappearer
when they come I've already gone,
Flying I come, flying I go
Quickly, quickly on a lost course

When they hunt me I'm not there
When they find me, I’m someone else
The one that’s always just ahead,
because I've already moved on

They call me the disappearer
The phantom whos never there
They call me the ungrateful,
But that's not the way it is

I carry on me a pain and sorrow,
that doesn't let me breathe,
I carry on me a final sentence,
That’s always pushing me along

They call me the disappearer
when they come I've already gone,
Flying I come, flying I go
Quickly, quickly on a lost course

They call me the disappearer
The phantom whos never there
They call me the ungrateful,
But that's not the way it is

I carry in my body a motor
that's always running and alive
I carry in my soul a destination,
but I never will arrive

When they hunt me, I'm not there
When they find me, I’m someone else
The one that’s always just ahead,
because I've already moved on

They call me the disappearing one
When they come I've already gone,
Flying I come, flying I go
Quickly, quickly on a lost course

Lost in the century,
the 20th century,
Heading for the 21st

(when will I arrive, when will I arrive……)
